These booklets are a collection of writings compiled over four decades of pastoral ministry and seven years of shepherding shepherds of the church.

Some were written during difficult periods of Ed and Judy’s ministry. They have experienced times of profound loss, including the loss of a church, self-esteem, and energy to continue in ministry. Several articles stem from a decades-long battle with leukemia, when they have sometimes faced loss in their sense of being loved by, or even hope in, the God they professed to serve.

Others were written during times of great triumph, serving as witnesses to what God could do through faith, despite fears, challenges, and doubts. Some defend the original gospel of grace, while others address specific leadership challenges that are unique to pastors and church leaders.

All of them were written for the countless men and women who experience both the joys and the sufferings of those who accept Jesus’ call to shepherd His sheep.
